The U-Boat Watch Capsoil Doppiotempo IPB 8770/A combines the historic design of the 1938 Doppiotempo model with modern innovation. Featuring a 45mm black DLC-coated AISI 316L steel case, it includes dual crowns—one for time and date adjustment and the other for dual-time functionality via a rotating internal bezel. Its standout feature is the Oil Immersion technology, where the mechanism is submerged in an oil bath, creating a three-dimensional dial effect and the illusion of no glass. A compensation bubble floating on the dial adjusts to temperature changes, adding to the watch’s unique appeal. Rugged and sophisticated, this timepiece epitomizes U-Boat’s exceptional craftsmanship.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

MOVEMENT:

Swiss electro-mechanical movement lubricated with oil bath, personalized to U-BOAT specifications.
Working between 0°/+60° when not worn.
FUNCTIONS:
hours, minutes, bidirectional inner bezel, with hours and 30-minute intervals that synchronize with the additional hand so as to display the two different time zones.
CASE:
stainless steel AISI 316L with subsequent treatment DLC black, completely filled with a special oil that emphasizes the dial, creating the illusion of the absence of glass,
and an optical effect of a more intense black and higher legibility. Visible air bubble on the dial to compensate the temperature variations.
Double crown on the left side, one for the time adjustment, the other for the second time setting. Diameter 45 mm.
BACK:
innovative locking system (Locking ring system) with quick battery replacement.
DIAL:
two superimposed layers, black, with rotating inner bezel. Hands and indexes in beige colour treated with superluminova. Second time zone hand in red color.
CRYSTAL
high quality curved sapphire.

STRAP:
ultra-resistant vulcanised rubber, in black color, personalised with the logo of the Maison in relief. Steel tongue buckle. Width: 22/20 mm.
