Bulova Lunar Pilot 98A329 Timascus Limited Edition is a limited edition presented to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the brand. This bold interpretation of the iconic chronograph was created in collaboration with Brazilian artist Thiago Rosinhola, known for his Budii figures. The watch and the special packaging feature elements of pop art.

The limited edition impresses with a special dial made of titanium, processed using the Damascene steel technique to achieve the typical layered pattern. The blue-coloured Timascus dial is complemented by a blue tachymetric scale and the same coloured stopwatch pushers. The silver sub-dials provide a great contrast.

The Bulova Lunar Pilot 98A329 Timascus is a smaller version of the very popular Lunar Pilot models. It comes with a 43.5mm case diameter that will fit smaller wrists. The watch impresses not only with its design and craftsmanship, but especially with its reference to 1875, when the Bulova brand was founded, and 1971, when astronaut David Scott used his own Bulova Chronograph watch on the Apollo 15 mission. This was after the glass on his Omega watch, originally chosen for the US space programme, broke. Since the matter came to light, the watch has been rechristened the Bulova Moonwatch.

The case of the Bulova 98A329 Lunar Pilot Chronograph is made of stainless steel and its design is based on the legendary Bulova Chronograph used by astronaut Scott on the Apollo 15 mission. Inside we find a powerful high-precision quartz (HPQ) NP20 movement, operating at 262 kHz. That's roughly 8 times higher than conventional quartz movements (32768 Hz). This makes it possible to achieve extreme running accuracy with a deviation of approximately 10s per year! This movement also offers a stopwatch function.

The unique dial is protected by a flat protruding sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. So you don't have to worry about scratching it, and thanks to the anti-reflective layer you can rely on excellent legibility even in bright sunlight. The watch comes on a steel three-row bracelet finished with a butterfly clasp. The bracelet delights with a quick-release system that makes any replacement for a strap a breeze. The water resistance of the model is 50 m.

The watch will be delivered in a special package, which will include a 15 cm tall signed figure of astronaut Budii, specially designed by Rosinhol, and a brochure. The limited edition is limited to 5500 pieces. The limited edition is a dynamic fusion of tradition, design and art.
